My Commitment:
Personal Attention to Your Story

At the age of 7, I taught myself to type on the manual Olivetti typewriter that my father, a newspaper reporter, kept in his home office and used almost daily. Even as a child, I loved words, stories and learning what makes people tick. Through polishing my communications skills, I learned to better discover my world, share perspectives, explore human nature, entertain, inform and – I hoped – introduce people to new information that would positively impact them in some fashion.

As a writer and professional communicator, I recognize the power of asking the right questions and then really listening for the answers. These answers come in all shapes and sizes and often require decoding and tenacity; truly hearing them requires knowing when to be quiet, when to ask appropriate follow-up questions and when to let the person you’re speaking with arrive at the conversational place that will yield the information that readers or other audiences are seeking.

As a writer and public relations advisor, I am driven by individual and corporate stories, and I believe in their power. Communicating with persuasion and authority requires an attention to detail, an understanding of human nature, an endless sense of curiosity and a passion for language and learning.

You have a story to tell or you wouldn’t be looking for a writer or a public relations advisor. Applying expertise gained from more than three decades in the communications arena, I can promise you an approach that is simultaneously fresh and reflective of my long experience. I bring a personal style to every assignment, treating each with care, expertise and originality. Practicing the art of public relations with success requires creativity, organization, strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of media and markets, chutzpah, and the commitment to follow-up, follow-up and more follow-up.

I look forward to the opportunity of sharing your stories with others.
